Galapagos: Cross that adventure off your bucket list.

Over the last year I had multiple clients decide they wanted to cross a trip to the Galapagos off their bucket list.  This was actually where I went on my honey moon and just in case you have ever wanted to visit the Galapagos I’m going to give you an overview of how a trip you plan with me will go.

The only way to get to the Galapagos is by plane and I recommend that you start this adventure by flying into the airport on Isla Baltra where you’ll be greeted by your nature guide from the boat, you’ll be living on for the next five days.  I believe taking a livable boat tour of the western islands of the Galapagos gives you the best overview and variety to make the excursion unforgettable.  The boat will usually drive long distances at night so in the morning you’ll be docked in a harbor of the island that you’ll explore.  You’ll either go on a nature walk, dingy ride along the coast or snorkeling to discover all the wildlife of the different areas.  You’ll see giant tortoise, water iguanas, land iguanas, penguins, blue footed boobie, sea turtles, seals, and rays to name some of the main wildlife.

Throughout the time on the boat, you’ll eat delicious food and learn about the history of the islands.  After living on the boat for five days it’s great to experience the rest of what the Galapagos has to offer from the main island Santa Cruz and to stay in Puerto Ayora.  From here you can take day trips to go scuba diving, go for a hike or bike ride on the island and take boat trips to other small islands off the coast.  While you’re there make sure to enjoy the fresh seafood which is always available and was most likely caught that day.  After the Galapagos the rest of Ecuador is waiting for you to explore from the rainforest to the mountain top of Cotopaxi.

I'm ready to plan my next adventure!
